Auditions

In order to be accepted into the KZN Youth Orchestra, you will have to audition.

During this audition, you will have to:

• Perform accompanied or unaccompanied before the resident conductors and / or tutors.

• Show evidence of Grade 3 or equivalent competency.

• Play selected scales and arpeggios, or demonstrate suitable sound producing techniques with your instrument.

• Play an unprepared sight reading piece that will be provided.

• Show that you have the discipline to perform within a group setting.
