Auditions

In order to be accepted into the KZN Youth Orchestra, you will have to audition.

During this audition, you will need to:

• Perform accompanied or unaccompanied before the resident conductors and / or tutors.

• Show evidence of Grade 3 or equivalent competency for the Shadow Orchestra ; Grade 5 level or equivalent competency for the Main Orchestra.

• Play selected scales and arpeggios, or demonstrate suitable sound producing techniques with your instrument.

Auditions are held during October each year.  Scholarships are available to  those in need on request.
