We are a group of young people from all over KZN with one thing in common - we love to make music! The KZNYO is home to around 80 young classical musicians, ranging in ages between 12 and 22. We have been making music for over 40 years and operating as a non profit organisation since 2003. The KZNYO is affiliated with the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra and has been led by their resident conductor, Lykele Temmingh, since 2007. Many great musicians have passed through our doors and continue to make their mark in the music industry, such as Cathy Peacock, Christopher Duigan and That Girl on the Violin - Jane Magner.
